BUTCHER – Ulverston, Cumbria

As we move out of lockdown and towards the ‘new normal’, Lake District Farmers is now looking for a skilled butcher to work in its meat processing facility.

You will be working with top quality colleagues preparing meat to high precision specifications for some of the top Michelin star chefs as well as some of the large London corporates.  It goes without saying, therefore, that quality is LDF’s byword.

Initially, the role will be based in Tebay (just off J38 of the M6 motorway) but, in the not-too-distant future, LDF will be relocating to Ulverston, to a brand-new, purpose-built facility. Therefore, notwithstanding the company’s present location, preference will be given to applicants living in and close to the Furness area.  During the period working up at Tebay, travel will arranged by the company with no cost to the employee.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week.

It goes without saying that, taking account of the above, we are only seeking applications from the best of butchers.  You must be able to demonstrate at least 5 years’ experience working as a butcher and know that you will be able to provide top-notch references.
